AI listing writer
Ripple uses Claude (by Anthropic) to write listings from your photos: title, description, condition, item specifics, tags, a category search and a price estimate.
Your listing rules
Settings › AI listing writer › Your listing rules is how you tell the AI how your shop writes listings. Whatever you put there is followed for every listing, for the whole team, and wins over Ripple's own rules. It starts with suggested rules:
Title (max 80 characters, most important words first, always starting with a capital letter):
- Clothing: [Brand] [Audience] [Product type] [Size] [Colour] [Key attributes]
- Shoes: [Brand] [Model] [Audience] [Product type] UK [Size] [Colour] [Condition]
- Books: [Title] [Author] [Format] [Year] [Edition if notable]
- DVDs / Blu-rays / box sets: [Title] [Season/Collection] [Format] [Region] [Discs] [New Sealed if so]
- Music: [Artist] [Title] [Format] [Year] [Label]
- Toys & games: [Brand] [Name/Set] [Piece count or age] [Complete/Sealed]
- Everything else: [Brand] [What it is] [Model] [Size/Capacity] [Colour] [Key feature]
Description: one paragraph of about 3 factual sentences.
Condition: the item's condition, plus any visible flaws or missing parts.
Keywords (the tags): 10-15 search words not already in the title or description.
Change anything and press Save settings. Put back the suggested rules restores the original.
Good to know
- The AI never invents a brand: if it can't see one, the field stays empty.
- Titles always start with a capital letter.
- Keywords become the item's tags (Depop uses them as hashtags), never a keyword block in the description, which eBay treats as spam.
- Always check what it wrote before listing.
